Will an unlocked HTC Desire work in Australia if I just buy a simcard and dataplan over there?
I have an unlocked Desire which I bought in the UK and am moving to Australia next month. So I need to know if I go on one of their Sim-Only tariffs, everything will work as usual on the Desire? Thanks!

If I get a work visa for australia can I get a one way airplane ticket there or does it have to be round trip?

work visa's are very hard to get, if you qualify you could get a 12 month working holiday visa this would require a return ticket

If you're asking about requirements when coming on a working holiday visa, you don't need a return ticket, but you must show that you have funds to buy one in addition to the equivalent of AUD$5000 for living and other expenses. If you don't have both, you may be rejected at the border. If you're asking about some other kind of work visa, there is no requirement for a return ticket or funds to buy one, though on a 457, your employer is required to have ensured that you have the funds to get back to your home country if required.

I'am filipino trade person and i want to work in australia, im graduated in Industrial Maintenance and already expertise in mechanical and electrical work. 10 yrs. experience in company as a maintenance fitter.

forget kangaroo land and come to the U.S.A. we'll hire anyone, and the only visa's we check are the ones you max out using our health care!
