If it dosen't, could i buy a aussie PS2, have it sent to me and play it over here with an adapter, would that work?

Not unless it's been chipped/modded. They're a different region

No, USA is a NTSC U/C region, while Australia is PAL.

No, because there is 5 regions, and games and dvds only work in those specific regions where they came from. So america is level 1, so anything that has "1" or "all" on it would work but, america and australia are not the same region.

no, i found out the hard way, i bought a ps2 in korea, and when i came back stateside, i had to take it to a shop so that they could change the diamond chip in it. not all games are released for the same countries. I was playing Tekken 9 and they dont even have it here, and its such a bad @ss game. Sorry.
